5 FASHION TRENDS TO LEAVE IN 2016
it covered trends like...."dab" (which I hate)..."fleek"......you know na....eyebrows on fleek and shi and "BAE" The most annoying one that has everyone sounding like a bleating goat! Nigerians and our love for following trends before we even know what they mean.
So here are five fashion trends I hope we forget and leave to just go with 2016
1. THE MAKEUP

Ladies, ladies.....LADIES! how many times did I call you? Please allow your faces to breath in 2017, allow the brothers see your "real face" stop packing all of that makeup on the regular even for when you just want to go and buy recharge card in the neighborhood...reduce the baking biko...carry more subtle makeup, leave the bridal make up for the day you become a bride. We know you all are MUA's .....we just want to see you, these spiky eyebrows be scaring kids really!
2. NECK CHOCKERS

Call me old fashioned but these Gothic chockers gotta go! you have seen it na, that black thing almost every girl has round her neck, l don't know how you all breath. I must admit it looks good on a few people, but please na....or atleast get other colors apart from black. I can leave you all and the black and dark shade lipsticks.
3. GUYS & OVER JUMP UP TROUSERS
This one tire me pass, I just struggle with my mind trying to find out why the trousers are scared to touch your ankles, you would see some of these pants tight at the crotch (don't ask me how I know or what took my eyes there) but really tight at the crotch and still, practically few inches below the knee...dear men who wear tight "jumpai" pants, God forbid you have to bend down and those pants rip! You dress a certain way, and they call you "Yoruba demons" and you feel cool with your selves and take "bad gang" group pictures ...grow up, women need more than you being trendy and wearing your 13 year old nephews pants.
4. CROP TOPS

don't get me wrong, I love crop tops, I just think many do not realise that just like the chockers, it is not for everybody! Be looking like a homeless drunk with a 9 month pregnant looking belly in undersized tops tsssssttt(yea I am hating).
5. FAKE ACCENTS

Some people just think this is fashionable, no its not, its thrashy....I am talking to those of you who just visit/ escort someone to the international airport and come back with BRITMERICAN accent (because you don't know the difference between British and American accents) you go to Chad and come back speaking like all these telemundo babes, clap for yourself!
BONUS: THE BLEACHING.

seems this was a huge trend in 2016, you would pass your friends on the road and not recognize them. skin bleaching has become so welcomed that those who are not a part of the trend even get looked down upon. Shout out to all the Bobriskies
The list is way longer, these few do not even cover a fraction.
I do hope in 2017, we grow and become better, realising that there is so much to life than the vain things we allowed take priority in our lives in 2016. 2017 is the year to start being serious, the year to get woken and perhaps start a business, get a job, learn a skill and just stop being silly.
I am Timbyen Amos Dashe
And I just wanna make you have sense!

Wish you the best of 2017.
